CBTeam Appointments
Are your appointments in-person or virtual?
We provide treatment services in in-person, virtually, or hybrid format. This is dependent on clinical needs and clinician’s availability.
Late afternoon and weekend appointment availability?
CBTeam’s late afternoon and weekend appointments can fill up quickly, especially during the school year. We have found that many schools can accommodate daytime availability during the tutorial, study hall, or advising times for children and teens to attend their therapy appointments. If this is something that is a possibility for your situation, your wait time may be significantly shorter. Please inform our intake coordinator if you are willing to consider this option.

CBTeam and Insurance
Do you accept insurance?
We DO NOT accept insurance—clients pay CBTeam directly for services and will often seek reimbursement from their insurance afterward. All our services are “out-of-network.” However, some insurance plans allow partial reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs (e.g., therapy sessions already paid for) even when the provider is out-of-network. We provide our clients with a monthly superbill that can be used when submitting claims to their insurance carrier for reimbursement.
We recognize that there are sometimes challenges with seeking out-of-network services for yourself or a loved one, but there are benefits as well. If your insurance plan has a high deductible, for example, many times you’d be paying for in-network services until that deductible is met. Additionally, there is more flexibility in terms of finding a clinician with a unique skill set and more creative therapy options for their clients when you are able to seek out all options regardless of in-network status.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, FSA (flexible spending account), and HSA (health savings account) forms of payment. Additionally, we do not accept advance payments.
Are you a Medicare or MassHealth Provider?
CBTeam is not enrolled as a Medicare or MassHealth provider and cannot work with clients who utilize those insurance plans.
Do you offer Single Case Agreements (SCAs)?
CBTeam does not enter into single-case agreements (SCAs). We cannot advise clients on whether or not a particular plan will allow reimbursement. Nor can we advise on the process, as each plan may differ in terms of additional forms or steps required by a given insurer.
Knowing that someone with the same carrier received reimbursement for our services does not guarantee that your specific plan with that carrier will have this benefit.
We strongly encourage clients to contact their insurance company before their first session to ask about their insurance benefits related to behavioral health.
We suggest asking the following questions to your insurance provider if you plan on seeking reimbursement:
- What is your coverage for behavioral health therapy?
- Do you offer reimbursement or coverage for an out-of-network provider?
- What would my deductible be?
- How many visits would be covered per calendar year?
Our Providers
CBTeam’s staff comprises two types of providers: licensed and unlicensed. Both providers have significant experience and would be recognized as OCD and Anxiety Specialists by colleagues in the field. All unlicensed providers are somewhere along the path to licensure, gaining hours of supervised experience, and are supervised by one of our licensed providers. We include the unlicensed and licensed providers’ information on our billing documents, which can be helpful with reimbursement.
