Our Treatments & Services

Our clinical experience has taught us that all too often outpatient treatment is a bit one size fits all. Typically, outpatient services just offer one clinician contact per week. While this can be effective for some, we find that many individuals and families we serve need a unique combination of services that meet the specific needs of their case.

An advantage of joining the CBTeam family and seeking clinical services at a Behavioral Health Clinic like ours is that we have a large team of highly-trained clinicians that work together to provide various treatment services. This ensures your journey towards wellness is comprehensive in content, flexible in delivery, and tailored to your specific needs.

Regardless of your path with us, therapeutic journeys at CBTeam will start with a thorough evaluation and collaborative discussion so that the appropriate treatment plan is identified and agreed upon by both the client and clinician. A free phone consultation with our intake coordinator is provided to help inform you and guide you to the appropriate evaluation or treatment program.

Following this conversation with our intake coordinator, further evaluation and treatment planning will either be through the Diagnostic Observation and Treatment Evaluation (DOT Evaluation) or as a part of the first session with your assigned therapist. Sometimes effective evaluation needs to go beyond self-reported experiences during a clinical interview and instead involve standardized, objective assessments of cognitive, emotional, and social functioning to determine accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations.

The ADAPTs Evaluation at CBTeam is the most comprehensive evaluation we provide and is required for those seeking accommodations in the school or work setting. Certain diagnoses such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disorders, or autism spectrum disorder can only be determined via this testing.

Research supports that an individualized treatment plan is most effective for helping individuals thrive. That said, across all our treatment delivery options you will find the same core ingredients: warmth, meaningful connection, collaboration, thorough assessment, individualized treatment planning, the teaching of well-researched techniques, and approaches that lead to greater engagement in life.

We want to be fully transparent about our “secret sauce,” so please refer to the How Treatment Works page to learn more about our unique, evidenced-based approach to mental health treatment delivery.

In order to be flexible and match you or your child’s individual needs, our treatment approach comes in many forms and may change over the course of treatment based on your needs.

Most commonly, treatment occurs within our General Outpatient Treatment service which typically involves meeting with your therapist one time per week. Often, we provide family therapy or parent coaching to help support parents as their child receives treatment. Sometimes, for enhanced practice and support, we will involve Behavioral Coaching within this program to facilitate practice of therapeutic techniques outside of weekly sessions and/or to complement therapy with related services like executive functioning support. We also often recommend group therapy as an additional way to solidify and build upon the lessons learned during General Outpatient Treatment while connecting with others seeking help at CBTeam.

With our value of community and interpersonal connection, it is no surprise that our Group Therapy is a critical part of CBTeam’s services and provides a unique element of social support and observational learning. We have a range of content driven and supportive groups; some groups are provided year round while others are seasonal.

For those of all ages (7 years old +) who have more severe or problematic anxiety or OCD symptoms, we recommend our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This program involves daily treatment for a minimum of 90 minutes per day, in addition to family therapy and group therapy support. Our IOP involves multiple skilled therapists and coaches and this team approach, combined with the intensity of treatment, allows for clients to see fast relief of their anxiety symptoms.

CBTeam has various services that we provide in-house or refer out to our trusted colleagues in the field that complement cognitive-behavioral therapy by targeting co-occurring health conditions. Within CBTeam, we provide a Speech and Language Therapy Program (SLT Program) which is a neuro-diversity aligned program that combines both evidenced-based speech and language therapy with mental health interventions. Commonly, referrals outside of CBTeam are provided for psychopharmacological intervention, dietician consultation, physical therapy, and other related health services.

All services at CBTeam utilize a hybrid approach to service delivery. Specifically, depending on the individual treatment needs and staff availability, we try to use both in-person and telemedicine services to most effectively deliver high-quality healthcare in a safe and responsible manner.
