Meet Jurgita
Jurgita is a Family Therapist at CBTeam and is working toward independent licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She receives specialized training, one-on-one supervision, and ongoing consultation in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while providing evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions.
Prior to joining CBTeam, Jurgita completed post-graduate training and worked as a Community Residence Counselor at the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Institute (OCDI) at McLean Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. There, she developed specialized experience supporting individuals with OCD and related conditions while working closely with clients and their families, gaining valuable insight into the emotional, practical, and relational impact of OCD. This experience strengthened her passion for helping both individuals and families navigate the challenges of OCD using compassionate, evidence-based care.
Outside of work, Jurgita enjoys spending time with her family and their dog, Ollie, gardening, exploring nature, visiting Boston’s museums, and attending theater performances. Clients and families can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic experience where they feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the treatment process. Jurgita strives to help individuals and their loved ones better understand OCD, build confidence in managing its challenges, and develop practical skills that support lasting progress both in and outside of therapy.
