Meet Lisa

Lisa’s passion for psychology dates back to high school and college and truly solidified when she served as a camp counselor serving a diverse population of children with a broad range of cognitive, social and emotional disabilities. The camp’s mission rested on the belief that all individuals want and deserve the same things, to learn, feel valued, and experience success. This philosophy helped shape her professional identity and still permeates her work.

Earlier in her career, Lisa served as a school psychologist in various public and private schools in New York and New England, for more than 25 years. Her work included students with a wide range of developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, mental illnesses, learning disabilities, and communication disorders. She provided individual and group counseling, play therapy, assessment, consultation, and crisis intervention in her various school psychologist roles.

Lisa joined CBTeam as a therapist after doing her practicum with us, while pursuing a second master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Lisa was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she relished long summers playing kickball, hanging out on the “stoop” and eating the best pizza you’ll ever find! These days she enjoys long walks with her dog Mugsy, playing tennis, traveling, spending time with her husband, family and friends, and relishing every minute she gets with her college age son.
