Clinical Training & Interests

Prior to attending graduate school, Remy worked at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. As a part of his clinical experience, he led a variety of clinical groups and coached daily exposure therapy sessions. Remy developed a particular interest in working with clients struggling with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), such as trichotillomania and nail-biting and was recognized for his ability to motivate clients who were struggling with motivation. Remy’s experience delivering exposure therapy while working with severe OCD and anxiety involved developing mastery in working with lesser known areas of OCD, including relationship OCD, perfectionism, real event OCD, emotional contamination, and sexual OCD.

Remy’s clinical experience extends well beyond the OCDI, such as an internship at the Advocates Psychiatric Emergency Services team, where he became familiar with crisis intervention and macro-level interventions throughout hospitals and providers. Remy’s internship at the Manville School helped round out his skillset via providing therapy to children with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Remy has a deep passion for viewing the client within their environment, and he strives to constantly destigmatize and encourage accessibility to mental health treatment. He seeks to bring a blend of curiosity, humor, and gentleness to collaborate with clients on their unique paths.
